Packing and transport

From Carton to Carrier

How well things are packed shows when the boxes open at the other end. Rather than one box for everything, we match the material to the item:

  • Cartons of different sizes suited to clothing, books, crockery and gadgets.
  • Added padding around glassware, displays and finished wood.
  • Stretch film and tape to keep wrapping snug and dust away.
  • A label on each carton naming its contents and the room it belongs in.

On the road

  • Loading at the start and unloading at the end are done by our own crew.

  • A vehicle that suits the size of your load carries everything from the old address to the new.

  • If a car or bike is making the trip as well, it is loaded and fastened separately. Details are under car transportation.

  • On arrival we unload, set furniture in the rooms you choose and open cartons if you want that done.

Warehousing

Dates at the old and new address do not always match, and the goods need to wait somewhere.

  • Possession of the new flat is delayed
  • A transfer to another city is still being settled

Here is how storage with us works:

  • Packed on the way in Items are wrapped and labelled before storage, as they would be for transport.
  • Duration A short gap between two homes or a longer stay, depending on your plan.
  • On paper Your written quote spells out the storage period and its charges.
  • Delivery When you are ready, we take the goods to the new address.

How Your Move Runs With Allied

  1. Tell us about the move

    Ring us, message on WhatsApp or use the form: give the pickup and drop addresses, the date you want and what needs to travel.

  2. Quote in writing

    We ask about the volume of goods, the floors and how easily a vehicle can reach each address, and then put the quote on paper.

  3. Packing and loading

    The crew wraps each item in suitable material, marks the cartons and loads the vehicle.

  4. Delivery and setting up

    At the destination the goods are unloaded, furniture goes where you point, and cartons are unpacked on request.
